Hanna and I met due to fate {and the promotion of my husband}. He occasionally leaves my business cards in various shops when he grabs coffee or lunch, and Hanna just happened to work in one of those coffee shops. I got an email from her saying that she got a “good vibe” from the look of my card and wanted to meet with me about her wedding. Some things were just meant to be.
I had a great time getting to know her and Dakota during their engagement shoot. These two are fun. And funny. We laughed a lot, and wandering through Shelby Park I learned some embarrassing stories and inside jokes that will certainly come in handy when photographing these two at their wedding.
Despite his laid-back appearance, Dakota obviously adores Hanna. Like most guys he probably is ready for the wedding planning to be over, but he told me that he is most looking forward to just doing “normal life” with her. Hanna has a beautiful heart (and looks pretty gorgeous in these photos too!) so its easy to see why he’s ready to do life with her.
We wrapped up the shoot by stopping by one of their favorite coffee shops (just another reason why I like this couple- they share my love of caffeine). Can’t wait to photograph their wedding in a few weeks!
Happy Wednesday!
Martha - I just loved your website – just fantastic photography – I enjoyed the pictures from the shower – Your Aunt Meg and I were talking about you taking pictures of my daughter who is pregnant when your come back (she is due October 12) or baby pictures at Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to seeing you again at the wedding, such exciting times. I loved the picture of the iron gate from downtown – I would love to see if you have any more, I would love to buy a picture for my mother. Thank you! You are very talented.
True Reflections - How laid back are these two! They look great together and that really comes out in the shots. I can imagine the pictures from the wedding will be just as gorgeous – in a laid back kind of way 🙂 Nice post.
