Despite the heat and humidity, Sid had all of us cracking up throughout this Charleston engagement session (my favorite was when he made fun of girls doing the “foot pop” haha)! Cariessa and Sid met in their apartment complex, and he told me, “the first time I saw her I said to myself, ‘You better not let this woman go.'” That might be one of the sweetest stories I’ve heard yet! I can’t wait to photograph these two next month at the Gadsden House. Enjoy!

      This blue, white and yellow Legare Waring House wedding was so bright and cheerful thanks to the expert design of Bouquets and Bowties! One of my favorite things about this couple was how quickly Corwin can get Catalina to smile and laugh. (Such a good quality to have in a husband!) Despite some rumbles of thunder, the rain held off until the end of the ceremony when everyone could safely enjoy the evening under the tent and in the house. I always love when couples include their pets, and Catalina and Corwin’s dog Piper might be the best wedding dog I have ever photographed! Hope you enjoy this wedding as much as I did!

Carrie and Aaron had a fun and intimate Charleston destination wedding at McLeod Plantation and Upstairs at Midtown about a week ago, and I am so excited to share this day with you! There were so many great moments throughout the day, but two of my favorites were when Aaron started clapping after he saw Carrie during their first look, and how emotional everyone was during their heartfelt personalized vows (no surprise- I cried too!). This wedding was extra special because it created not just a husband and wife, but a family. Aaron’s daughter Lily was included throughout the day in special ways, and she wowed us all with a speech and a song at the reception. Despite the forecast of 100% chance of rain, these two thought ahead and buried a bottle of bourbon for good luck at McLeod ahead of time and we lucked out with no rain all day! Elevents & Co and KSHG made the whole day look beautiful as always!

Jess and Brooks had a lovely William Aiken House wedding about a week ago, and I’m so excited to share it with y’all! The orange, ivory and blue color scheme that Engaging Events designed was so fun and unique for summer – and the special chair Brooks surprised Jess with as her wedding present just happened to match the wedding colors as well! One of my favorite things about their day was how emotionally present everyone was. There was lots of laughter and tears – from getting ready all the way to the reception and the dance that honored Jess’s late father. These two are both extremely kind and well loved by their family and friends, which was an honor to document. Happy Monday y’all!
