To say that I’ve been dying to share these photos would be an understatement! Now that the gorgeous spring issue of A Lowcountry Wedding is out (pick one up at Barnes & Noble!), I can finally show you the amazing styled shoot we did with Elevents & Co and Roadside Blooms at the Gadsden House last year. I was obsessed with Mary Poppins as a kid (I used to jump off my playhouse with an umbrella convinced that I would fly), so when the new movie came out last year I knew I wanted to do a styled wedding a-la Mary Poppins. This colorful shoot was full of umbrella and kite accents, as well as nods to the original movie with “spoon full of sugar” and “chim-chim-cheree” desserts, a carousel cake, floral chimney design, and a tea length dress reminiscent of Mary Poppins‘ white dress in the original film. The colorful florals reminded us of the animated portion of the film, and Winifred, George, Bert, etc. even joined us via the place cards. Gadsden house created a lovely menu to fit the pink, yellow and red color scheme and the color palette was continued through the paper goods (the little penguins on the cake sign were adorable!). The umbrella installation with floral rain above the table and the kite guestbook were favorites of mine! So many wonderful vendors worked hard on this colorful and whimsical shoot (including our real life couple Katie and Wes!):
