Photography in the Modern South: What does the "modern south" mean? For me, it means tradition with a twist. Think front porches, comfort food, bowties, nice manners...meets urban farming, pinterest projects, thrift store shopping, breaking the rules...and top it off with a little splash of "bless their heart." I live in Charleston (definitely the modern south), but am also available to travel worldwide.

Creek Club at I’On Wedding – Christina and Rhodes

Christina and Rhodes met at Chick-Fil-A in high school, and have been together ever since! (One more reason why Chick-Fil-A is awesome). These two had one of the absolute best first looks I have had the pleasure to photograph. It was so cute! Their wedding was colorful, had gorgeous light, and everyone was so so happy and kind! Charleston Engagement: Katie and Ryan

Despite the *freezing* temperatures, Katie and Ryan rocked their engagement session and I discovered a few new favorite photoshoot spots downtown. 😉 Can’t wait for their wedding later this year at Magnolia Plantation!

Historic Rice Mill Wedding – Anna & Sam

It has been just over a week since Anna and Sam got married and I’m so excited to share their wedding with you! This day was full of so.much.joy. (Isn’t that what everyone wants on their wedding day?) Everyone was constantly laughing and it made it so enjoyable to document. Anna and Sam’s day was extra special to me because it was full of both previous Wild Cotton couples and wedding party members….it made it feel like I was photographing old friends. 🙂 Add in the fact that you had gorgeous and sentimental details (the Father of the Bride made the rings!) and a sweet ceremony, and it was a great way to kick off the 2018 wedding season!

Charleston Engagement: Ryanne & Drew

Despite the cold temperatures, these two and their adorable pup Cali rocked their session! I had so much fun wandering around Hampton Park with them last weekend. 🙂 Can’t wait for their wedding with Elevents & Co later this year!

Charleston Engagement: Hilary & Wil

The first engagement session of 2018 is complete! I had to reschedule with Hilary and Wil due to Charleston’s “snowpocolypse,” (and there was still a bit of ice on the ground during our session) but the 50 degree temps made it worth it! Can’t wait for their wedding at William Aiken later this year! 🙂
